This one night class is designed exclusively for Parent's of Northeast Vocational students to teach you how to access and use the X2 portal program to keep you up-to-date with your child's grades, attendance, homework assignments, and more.
Archery $160
Monday, 6-9 p.m. - 6 weeks
Students will learn how to shoot a bow and arrow from a NASP archery coach. This course includes training in proper shooting techniques, body form, warm up exercises, archery safety rules, and the selection of archery equipment. Equipment is provided. Maximum of 10 students. 18 years of age or older.
Cake Decorating $135
Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. – 5 weeks
Learn the beginning basics of cake decorating, borders, flowers, work with color flow and marzipan. Learn how to frost and decorate all sizes and types of cake.
College Financial Aid Workshop - ONE NIGHT ONLY $50

This one night workshop is a must for all parents of college-bound high school students.· We will de-mystify the college financial aid process and teach you how to access the more than $90 billion in financial aid dollars, monies that are even available to “high income” families and business owners. Strategies will be presented that will help you protect your assets by maximizing your eligibility for aid and effectively lowering your college costs. A free comprehensive analysis will be provided for those attending the class.

There is something for everyone to learn in this comprehensive cooking course. This hands-on course will overview different types of cooking methods: sauteing, roasting, braising, baking, grilling, frying, and poaching. We will go over different types of ethnic cooking; Chinese, Italian, French, Mexican, and American. In addition, you will be taught how to make different soups, sauces, and salad dressings. Digital Photography – Basic $195

Explore the world of digital photography. The course will cover the basics of digital photography and photo processing. This introductory course is designed to give participants an understanding of digital camera use and software enhancing techniques. Participants will learn how to maximize the use of their digital cameras: lighten, darken, and enhance photos, crop and post production effects.

Build your own·custom home maintenance plan, complete with pictures, and a calendar to guide you throughout·the years. The Homeowner will learn about documenting specific features for maintaining their home heating system, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing systems and more. Step by step the homeowner will learn the details and frequency of the components needed to maintain your home.
Invest In Your Debt – ONE NIGHT ONLY $75

Oil Painting $200

This course is a beginner’s introduction to the mechanics and materials of oil painting. You will learn about composition, values, and color while working from still-life and other types of projects. You will also learn about the fundamentals of visual language through the art of training your eye to see holistically. No experience necessary. This class is an introduction to the powerful software program developed by Adobe and is essential for anyone who wishes to work in graphic industry or just learn more about computer graphics. This course will show students how to manipulate photographs, text and images with filters, special effects, and color changes. The course will also cover fixing old photos, basic color correction, Photoshop layers and more. Students taking this class will have a foundation of basic, to intermediate proficiency with this software.

Understanding the Stock and Bond Market - TWO NIGHTS ONLY $100

The stock and bond markets are among the least understood areas in finance. We’ll teach you all the fundamentals using easy-to-understand laymen’s language. You’ll learn about dividends and yields, stock splits, price-earning ratios, company buybacks, IPO’s, how to recognize effective company management, the best time to buy or sell, the truth about “hot tip”, and more. You’ll learn how to read and understand stock and bond tables, how to do your own research in reviewing companies in which you’re considering investing, and how to develop a basic investment plan.
